GELS was started in 1998 as subsidiary of Flicker to Flare Consultants Pvt. Ltd, a decade old consulting firm. Flicker to Flare Consultants are in the business of Human resources development and training from 1990. Their esteemed list of clients include organizations such as Citibank, Ford India, HM, EDS, HCL Tech, Standard Chartered Bank, Citibank, IPCL, CII, MMA, Apollo Hospitals, SSI, UCAL, Verizon, EID Parry, Britannia industries and many more. They have been in the forefront of developing human potential through programs on IPR, Communications, Leadership, Team building, ISO certification process, Creativity, Conflict resolutions, etc. This company has a dedicated team of freelance consultants who offer the above range of programs to several organizations.
VASANTHI RANGANATHAN
The driving force behind GELS is the Chief consultant and has over two decades of experience in human resources and education across India, United States, and Malaysia. More than 20 of the top Corporate organizations and Multinationals have engaged her services in varied fields of organizational development, executive management, human resources management, industrial relations, performance management, interpersonal relations, cross culture management and quality management, among others. She has worked with educational institutions, training students and teachers in areas of career counselling and guidance. She teaches English programs on behalf of the University of Cambridge through the British Council, Chennai. She holds a Masters in English from the Madras University, a professional diploma in Management of Training from the University of Connecticut, USA and a Masters degree in Counselling from University of Hawaii, USA on an East West Center Scholarship. She is the Makana Award Winner and Rotary scholar award winner. She also holds British Council India accreditation to teach BEC programs and is the certified examiner for the UCLES program of University of Cambridge, U.K. She had also been a compare and anchor for several children.
Women's programs in the Television and Radio. There are several teams who she has worked with over social issues in creating awareness on gender equity and self esteem development. She is a distinguished speaker for several Rotary clubs and educational institutions, and has been invited to be in the selection panel for several scholarships.Learning throughout one's life and competing for the best have come to stay. She believes that a skill development program, which can make learning a habit, must be inculcated in every child such that they can be better players in the global arena and good learners in their entire lifetime.
RAVI SHANKER
He has done his Masters of Business Administration, BIM-Tiruchy and Bachelors of Science from the University of Madras. In his last assignment, he was Manager Mortgages Sales for Chennai and Coimbatore for Standard Chartered Bank. Prior to this, he had been National merchandising manager of ANZ Grind lays Bank's marketing department. Having managed suppliers, customers, DSA networks and being closely involved with sales and marketing function across FMCG, Auto, and banking industries, he is uniquely positioned to build a motivated sales team. Having completed his schooling in the US, starting work from 14 years, he has won laurels in his BIM program and strongly believes in systems, which promote quality. The promoters have a rich experience of over 20 years of working with some of the leading Multinationals both in India and abroad. They understand the value of education and believe that access to the best of it should be there for the children of this country.
